Red Lion Herbal Salve
A natural version of Tiger Balm, but with no petroleum products. This gently warming formula penetrates to soothe aching muscles, and to relieve soreness and stiffness. The natural red color comes from the essential oils used in the formula. Massage into affected areas, such as the neck, the back, legs, or arms. Avoid mucous membranes and sensitive body areas.
This salve can be applied before strenuous exercise or sports to gently warm muscles, and applying after exertion soothes any aches and pains. Friends have also been using this salve for years before exercising or sports, like tennis, and find it really helps alleviate pai. Useful also in back massage to relieve soreness and stiffness.
Contains St. Johnswort oil, organic Olive oil, beeswax, essential oils of Wintergreen, Cajeput, Eucalyptus, Cinnamon, Clove, Peppermint and Camphor.
St. Johswort oil is made from the organic flowers which I wild-craft from our property each year on St. John's Day, June 22. Helpful for inflammation and bruising.
Wintergreen Oil is traditionally used for joint pain and inflammation.
Cajeput, Peppermint, Camphor and Cinnamon oils warm and soothe.
Eucalyptus is traditionally used to relieve the pain of muscle aches.
